On this page you can find a version of the content written in easy language, with short sentences and clear words. This version is designed for:

• people with reading difficulties
• people who are not familiar with the language of contemporary art
• people who do not know Italian or English well
• anyone who prefers simple and direct texts

You can listen to an audio guide during your visit to the Pavilion. The audio guide is designed especially for blind visitors, but it can be used by everyone. It accompanies you along the route and helps you understand the artworks and the spaces.

You can watch an introduction video to the exhibition with subtitles in Italian and English and interpretation in LIS (Italian Sign Language).

You can consult a visual story of the Pavilion. A visual story uses images and simple text to explain how to enter, how the spaces are organised, and what to expect during your visit. It is useful to prepare before you arrive.

You can consult the sensory map, which shows where different types of stimuli are present in the spaces. This tool helps you plan your visit according to your needs.

A tactile kit is available inside the Pavilion. The kit includes an information panel with a map of the artworks in Braille. It helps you understand how the space is organised, especially if you are blind or partially sighted.

The Pavilion is accessible to people with reduced mobility. At the entrance to the Arsenale there is a ramp that allows access for wheelchair users. From the entrance, you reach the Italian Pavilion by crossing an area with a gravel surface.

Inside the exhibition spaces, you can move around easily. The routes are wide and allow access with a wheelchair. Please move through the Pavilion
with care and attention to avoid unintentionally
bumping into the artworks or stumbling.

The Biennale provides an internal transport service with electric vehicles for visitors with reduced mobility. Wheelchairs and walkers are also available on request.

We have tried to make the project as accessible as possible. However, some elements have limitations:

• the printed catalogue is not available in easy language or in an accessible format
• in the two tese, there are panels with texts and captions; the lighting is low, so reading may be more difficult
• the texts on the introductory panel reach up to 190 cm in height and may not be easy for everyone to read

This website offers tools to make the content easier to read. You can:

• increase the text size
• switch to high-contrast mode
• turn off animations
