Felice Cimatti

Felice Cimatti teaches Semiotics and Language Theory at the University of Calabria. His studies focus on the relationship between language, animality and mysticism. He hosts the radio programme Uomini e Profeti on Rai Radio3. Over recent years, he has combined his philosophical work with his own artistic practice, which explores the inscrutability of the animal gaze.

Esther Kinsky

Esther Kinsky is a poet, writer and translator, distinguished by her narrative mastery in exploring the human experience of place, remembrance and memory within the experience of disorientation. She grew up in West Germany along the River Rhine and has lived in various European countries. She currently lives in Vienna and in a small village in Friuli that inspired her novel Rombo (Iperborea, 2023) about the 1976 earthquake in Friuli. Her novels, poems, essays and translations have received numerous awards, including the prestigious Kleist Prize (2023) and the Droste Prize of Meersburg (2024), and have been translated into twelve languages. Her most recent book published in Italian is Di luce e polvere (Iperborea, 2025).
